In conjunction with the celebration of Guanyin’s birthday, Amitabha Malaysia organized a series of activities on 5th July, including a 3 Steps 1 Bow Pilgrimage, a blood donation campaign, a TCM charity consultation, and a health check-up. Many blood warriors supported the blood donation campaign; we successfully obtained196 packs of blood for JB Hospital Sultanah Aminah. This activity helps the hospital’s blood bank to maintain a stable blood supply. Thanks to all the donors and volunteers who participated in our charity activities, we hope continue to uphold this spirit of dedication to our society.

Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Yau and his team from Wall’s ice-cream gave us a wonderful day! They guide our children to do ice-cream roll and twisted potatoes, also they raised a DIY ice-cream deco competition in our home. On 20th June, Amitabha Malaysia invited FPC Fire Prevention Service Sdn Bhd to conduct a lecture on fire safety. During the lecture, fire safety officers introduced different causes of fire and basic fire prevention knowledge based on different scenarios and the characteristics of different flammable objects. They used detailed examples and real-life situations to highlight first aid measures relating to fire escape plans and various ways to rescue oneself and others. The workshop raised the awareness of the public regarding fire safety and, at the same time, learn practical techniques regarding first aid measures and escape plans.

Some three- to six-year-old children visited the old people in Amitabha Caring Shelter (KL), entertaining them with performances and games. Some sang with the residents, while some lovably danced in lively steps. All who were present spent an enjoyable morning and had a good time together.
