During the MCO period, orphanages and caring shelter can save money in terms of supplies and meals, but the dialysis centre cannot be stopped. We urge the public can lend a helping hand to Amitabha Malaysia to tide over this difficult situation.
Amitabha Malaysia has been supporting the life necessity of 273 family-in-need with food and household items every month since 2005. The beneficiary families, including single-parent families, family members with chronic diseases, disabled family members, etc.
During the MCO period, the supplies and financial sources are seriously shortage, and we urge to lend a helping hand to our family-in-need, stand with us to tide over the difficulties.
Here come 12 volunteers visit our caring shelter in KL branch on 29th
Dec, celebrate Christmas and pre Chinese New Year with our elderlies. They
gifted us daily groceries and prepared a hearty lunch. After the lunch, the
volunteers sing along with our elderlies, music brings cheers, grandpa and
grandma had a joyous singing session. The Chinese New Year is coming after
Christmas, volunteers gave our elderlies angpow as a blessing token, wishing
them to have a healthy year.
The so-called winter solstice
is as
important as the
new year celebration, as traditional, our
whole family members in the orphanage will celebrate this festival by making
glutinous rice ball (tangyuan), caregiver-mom preparing the dough and children
give a helping on make into small balls.
A gratifying part is our eldest son and daughter are coming back to reunion
with us!
Our girl comes back with
the good news; she was promoted from waiter to 3-star supervisor within 11 months
of her career. Accompanying children through
the rebellious period, being sensible, independent,
but never forget the caregiver
moms’ upbringing, the gratitude from
children itโs the most pleasing thing
on the motherly hood.
For the Chinese, this winter solstice festival is a traditional festival for a family reunion and making glutinous
rice ball with whole family members. However, the companionship from family may
be a luxury to the elderly in the caring shelter. Thus, Amitabha Malaysia
organized a celebration on 21st Dec, the celebration, including a
charity calligraphy contest and TCM Tuina sharing session.
The charity calligraphy contest was co-organized with Kulai Calligraphy
Association, have a great supported by many students. The Tuina sharing session
is conducted by a physician from Nature Concept TCM, along with the volunteers
they hand by hand, giving massage to our elderlies under the instruction of a
physician. Weโre grateful to our kind volunteers who be a half-day child to our
elderlies.

They are starting on 2nd Dec, departing from Johor Bahru to Ipoh. This trip including Gua Tempurung, Sunway Lost World, Genting Highland, Batu Caves etc. They very enjoy the vacation, also a great chance to broaden their vision. Thank you once again to the kind people; their kind deeds brought sweet memories to our children.

Singapore for medical treatment. At this time, the medical expenses have accumulated more
