The donation boxes unable to collect because of business closure

Amitabha Malaysia has been trusted by SMEs for many years and agreed to place a donation box in the shop front, letting the people donate at will while shopping and having meal, to help disadvantaged groups in society. However, under the impact of the pandemic in 2020, many businesses have faced difficulties and some are ended their business. Therefore, Amitabha Malaysia is in hardship to collect donation boxes from the business owner because of unable to contact them.

Those donation boxes are all donated and sponsored by benevolent people. The purpose is to gather kindness from everyone, assist the needy to tide over their difficulties. Therefore, Amitabha Malaysia hopes those business owners can take the initiative to contact them and return the donation box. If the public finds an abandoned donation box or encounters any suspicious fundraising activities under the name of Amitabha Malaysia, please contact us at 07-2132448 or email enquiry@amitabhafoundation.my .

Spread Kindness, no matter how much you give

Amitabha Malaysia started to provide family assistance to Mdm Wong and her family since 2014. At that time, her husband’s job was unstable and their children were young. It was difficult to only rely on the husband’s income. Hence Amitabha Malaysia provide monthly necessitites to this family to relieve some of their burdens. We’re glad that every year when social worker visit Mdm Wong and her family, we found their living condition is improving! A few weeks ago, we received a call from Mdm Wong:

“I’ve found a job as babby sitter also some home based work, and able to improve our family income. My husband’s job is getting stable too, I hope the monthly assistance for our family can transfer to other needy family.”

Mdm Wong express her gratitude and become our monthly donation donor, looking forward to help more needy people.

Bhaisajye Buddha Twelve Dharmapala Dharma Assembly

Putuo Village in Kulai ushered in the annual Bhaisajye Buddha Twelve Dharmapala Dharma Assembly which lasted for three days starting from 29 –31 January. Due to the pandemic situation, we have conducted a virtual ceremony with many devotees participated online.

2020 is a year chained by the pandemic imposing a great challenge for everyone. May the upcoming year be a prosperous and healthy year for everyone especially with Buddha’s blessings.

We are honored to invite the renowned Mahayana Venerable Shi Zhen Yao accompanied by other monks to address the grand puja of Medicine Buddha and twelve Powerful Yaksa generals in the Great Assembly, praying for the stability of nation, eliminating natural disasters and calamities as well as to bring peace, prosperity and good luck to all participants in the forthcoming year..

All the income from this blessing ceremony would be channeled to our Dialysis Center, Orphanage and Caring Home and not forgetting the 231 poor families. We are thankful to all dharma who participated in the worshipping and contributed to the underprivileged groups.

Movement Control Order

As the national cases continue to soar and critical situation, the Malaysia government announced the Movement Control Order commencing on 13 January – 4 February.

With the implementation of MCO, our donation has gradually slowed down. Throughout the years, Amitabha Malaysia is taking care of 231 underprivileged families, 68 elderly, 23 children and 54 dialysis patients. Though we have been cutting down on our daily expenses at both Caring and Orphanage Home, we are still providing dialysis service to our patients three-day a week. We are calling out to the general public for donation for us to continue our commission of work for these underprivileged groups.

We welcome any contribution to our Orphanage Home, Caring Home and Dialysis Center. Please choose online donation:

Annual Report

The year of 2020 is harbored with COVID-19 pandemic making it a challenge to everyone especially charity organizations. Amitabha Malaysia is grateful to our selfless donors always caring and contributing to our kidney patients, the elderly and children during this tough time.

Amitabha Dialysis Centre recently has 54 patients receive monthly subsidy for their dialysis treatment, 68 seniors well taken care of, 231 underprivileged families receive monthly necessity aid, 23 children raised with love and 740 bags of blood collected for HAS blood bank.

The phone of Amitabha Malaysia is like a piano, playing different tunes, sometimes joy and sometimes sorrow…

One day, we received a call from a kind-hearted volunteer. She couldn’t bear to witness a grandfather in his seventies sitting weakly by the roadside and begging. After understanding the situation, we realized that grandpa had heart disease. Due to his age, his body would not be able to cope with the operation. He could only rely on medication to prolong the condition. As the pandemic got worsen, grandpa’s daily begging income is only sufficient to buy some dry food and instant noodles to satisfy hunger. Grandpa’s dilapidated house also accommodates a homeless old woman, and the two are currently dependent on each other. Thanks to the notification from this kind-hearted volunteer, Amitabha Malaysia now provides daily food assistance and care for these two elderly.

Good deeds are endless, with compassion we change the world.
